One thing I have learned during my tenure in the Indiana Statehouse is that good public policy requires more than opinions, political talking points, or emotional reactions. It requires asking difficult questions, examining the facts, and considering every perspective.
I have deeply held values and principles that guide me, but I also believe those convictions should never prevent me from listening to others, challenging assumptions, or considering information that may not support my initial position. Not every issue has a simple answer, and not every decision fits neatly into a political talking point. The consequences of the decisions we make are real, and they affect families, businesses, and communities across Indiana.
My commitment is to present the facts, tackle the difficult issues, consider every perspective, and give you the information you need to use your voice. Because good government isn’t about winning an argument. It’s about making informed decisions and remembering who we are there to serve.
